Episode DOD-609See all Episodes
Barbara and Gary Clark have renovated four houses in seven years and they've finally run out of steam at their current home's guest house. Currently a forgotten catchall, they want the space to be Cuban-themed music room where overnight guests can feel welcome. Design coordinator Spencer Anderson shops at a cane and basket supply store for mats and bamboo to augment the closet doors. Host Kristan Cunningham builds a panel to cover the exposed storage and design coordinator Dave Sheinkopf creates a simple yet effective portiere to make the sleeping area more private. The Design on a Dime team turns this lackluster guesthouse into a spicy Cuban retreat for only $1,000.
