Classic-Meets-Zen Dining Room

Eric Glyn-Davies and Amy Scaccianoce want a dining room where they can entertain their extended family in style, instead of being cramped at the small table in the kitchen. Currently, the dining room is virtually void of color, style and furniture. The room not only needs color and a theme, but dining furniture, too! Design coordinator Spencer Anderson breathes new life into an old buffet. Fellow design coordinator Dave Sheinkopf builds a custom window bench. Interior designer Kristan Cunningham and Anderson shop at a candle factory for supplies to make various art pieces. The Design on a Dime team creates a classic-meets-Zen dining room for under $1,000.
