Jimmy Butterly is a writer who works from home. He wants a media-free room that he can escape to and the barren sunroom adjacent to his office is the perfect candidate. Host and interior designer Kristan Cunningham heats up the room with a red-hot color, burnt orange. Design coordinator Dave Sheinkopf shops for new seating and also restores an antique African blanket box. Cunningham camouflages old outdated roof supports with illuminated pillars. Design coordinator Spencer Anderson creates a multiplaned metal and light installation. For less than $1,000, the Design on a Dime team creates a Balinese/mod lounge where Butterly can entertain and relax in style.
