Flip or Flop Baby Diaries: Nursery Planning

Flip or Flop's Christina El Moussa is expecting! Follow along as she documents her pregnancy - from staying fit to picking out the perfect nursery colors.

Hi Everyone! It’s Christina from Flip or Flop. I’m so excited to take you along as we plan and create a nursery for our new baby boy. We are going with a “vintage baseball” theme with a metallic reclaimed wood wall. A little background: Tarek played baseball growing up, so he really wanted to incorporate vintage baseball elements into the space. Since I like rustic and glam, I’m making it work with the vintage theme. I really like babies’ rooms to be more sophisticated and a room they can grow into. Here a few of the items I’m planning to use and some pieces that inspired the overall theme.

First up is the crib and dresser. They are from one of my favorite stores in Southern California, Newport Cottages in Newport Beach. I’m planning to use the dresser as a changing table. I’m also using a similar rug, but it’s larger and rectangular.

Here is a shot of the metallic reclaimed wood wall we are doing. Speaking of metallic, I’m recovering my dream recliner in this metallic fabric. It’s so comfy and I love the look!

I found these great art pieces that I’m going to work in to the space to give it the vintage baseball vibe. How fun are they? They remind me of the movie The Sandlot. Tarek is going to love it!

I’m constantly pinning new ideas for the baby’s nursery. Follow me on Pinterest to see some other pieces that inspired me as I planned out our new son’s space.

I’ll be back in two weeks with some pictures of Taylor’s room and you’ll get to hear what she thinks about becoming a big sister!
