10 Beautiful Outdoor Rugs Under $300

Add some underfoot to your outdoor space without breaking the bank.

There’s nothing that I love more than an outdoor living room. As the design trends keep moving toward the idea of creating outdoor spaces that feel just as comfy as your indoor spaces, it’s important to make sure that you have all the elements right. One of the most important pieces of decor I rely on to help make an outdoor space feel cozy is an outdoor rug. And while our choices used to be quite limited, these days you can find some gorgeous outdoor pieces with budget-friendly price tags.

Here are 10 of our must-have outdoor rugs, and they all cost less than $300.

For a bold outdoor space, go with something like this fuchsia rug for a giant burst of color. And if you’re not quite sold on pink, there are 16 other colors available to choose from.

This blue striped rug would look gorgeous with some crisp, white furniture or fluffy, white pillows. The cream color would also go a long way in camouflaging inevitable marks and stains.

All-Weather Rug
Home Decorators Collection

This rug looks like a natural-fiber sisal or jute rug, but it's actually made from synthetic fibers (so it’s much easier to clean and care for). It has a flat weave and is a great choice if you have a bigger area to fill.

I love the graphic pattern of this black-and-white rug. It would be the perfect choice for a modern space or a small balcony.

This is another fun, graphic rug with pops of yellow and light blue. Consider going with simple, solid pillows, furniture and decor if you're opting for a colorful, patterned rug like this.

Koppelo-Print Rug
Marimekko for Target

Finnish super-brand Marimekko has teamed up with Target to create this playful pattern for their outdoor rug collab. It’s easy to keep clean and would look great in a kid-friendly space.

If you love the look of animal hides, this outdoor rug is for you. This rug is a fab take on the classic zebra-print and is available in black, brown, gold, navy, green or red. It’s shaped to look like a traditional animal hide, too.

This geometric-patterned rug has a distinct Moroccan vibe. It’s neutral but makes a statement with its bold pattern.

Gunner Stripe Rug
Pottery Barn

An antique dhurrie from Morocco inspired this budget-friendly outdoor piece. It’s crafted entirely from recycled materials, making it an eco-conscious choice for your outdoor space.

For a more neutral outdoor setup, this brown and black natural rug is a great choice. It’s simple but can easily work with almost any style or color scheme.

Creating a Serene and Lounge-Worthy Screened Porch for Year-Round Relaxing

Seating for...Everyone!

What was once a humdrum screened-in porch is now a colorful, multipurpose place for lounging and entertaining thanks to a sectional sofa, clever use of rugs and mismatched grouping of tables.

Multiple Rugs

Give your porch the look of custom flooring with indoor-outdoor rugs paired together. A seamless look was created here since the pattern repeat of the rug was matched in the center, creating the look of wall-to-wall carpet.

Garden Stools

Here, garden stools were added to the porch to provide additional seating for guests. The stools can also be used as extra serving space for drinks and casual meals.

Bistro Set

Instantly add dining space to your porch with a space-saving bistro set. Here, a collapsible bistro table is paired with collapsible chairs in front of a vintage wooden dresser that serves as a plant stand.

Fresh Paint

Before adding color to your porch, consider how the exterior color of the house will play into the overall look. The dated brick and lackluster vinyl of this midcentury modern house were updated with charcoal and medium gray paint to help contrast against the bright spring accents.

Privacy Drapes

One of the quickest ways to update your porch is with colored drapery. Install drapery panels around the entire perimeter of a space using galvanized metal plumbing conduit. In addition to adding color and texture, the drapery also adds a barrier of privacy from nearby neighbors.

Staggered Heights

Allow guests to dine and lounge in style with a collection of tables at staggered heights. Here, two collapsible aluminum tables flank a small occasional table that allows guest to face one another over dinner conversation without the formality of one long table.

Pretty Groupings

Add a collected feeling with practical purpose to the porch with a hanging group of lanterns and birdcages that help anchor the space.

Night Lights

These hanging accents add ambiance at night with (safe!) battery-operated candles inside.

Collapsible Table

Add instant dining space with collapsible tables arranged around a sectional sofa. When guests are over, this table can offer a spot for tableware and drinks. When the space is not in use, the table can be folded up and stored away.

Easy Entertaining

Keep the entertaining easy with outdoor-friendly tableware such as enamelware pitchers and dishwasher-safe ceramic.

Mix-and-Match Pillows

Add personality, pattern and texture to your seating with a collection of mismatched pillows. Here, shaggy texture adds depth to indoor-outdoor pillows and cotton pillows meant mostly for indoor or covered outdoor space use.

Durable Sectional

Sectional sofas come in many materials, but woven resin options are much more modern in appearance and are remarkably durable. The sectional used in this porch came in many different modular components that offer a plethora of configurations.
