Take a virtual tour through HGTV Spring House and you'll notice one thing every space has in common — the color blue. As the leading hue of this year's home, designer Brian Patrick Flynn integrated shades of blue into every space in some way. As one of the hottest colors of the season, Brian knew this color would pop, especially against more neutral backdrops. But he didn't stop at blue. Shades of mint, blush, Kelly green and hot pink pair perfectly with these bright and moody blues.

I invite you to bring spring's hottest colors into your home using HGTV Spring House palettes as your guide.

See All Photos

Color Combo: Indigo + Robin's Egg

Play up blues this season with coastal indigo and classic Robin's egg. Many neutrals work well with these tones, but for a light and airy look, stick with white, off-white or dove gray.

Color Combo: Kelly Green + Aqua

Pair Kelly green with aqua for a mix of both cool and bright earth tones. To keep the overall look layered, pull in some dark wood tones. Be sure to layer several shades and tints of these hues to add depth.

Color Combo: Dove Gray + Mint

Mint is one of the most classic pastels associated with spring. Give the hue a fresh spin by pairing it with lighter gray tones, such as dove gray, then mixing in white as a neutral.

Color Combo: Forest Green + Mint

Layer evergreen hues, like forest green or pine, with more pastel greens, such as mint, for a layered look. Once the evergreen tones are paired with the pastels, they can start to take on more of a dark teal appearance.

Color Combo: Mint + Bubblegum Pink + Teal

Make your springtime look extra sweet with a mashup of bubblegum pink, mint and teal. The addition of mint keeps the cotton candy tones more spring appropriate, but you can still take this palette right into summer.

Color Combo: Violet + Yellow-Green

When it comes to purple tones, lilac and lavender are the hues most associated with spring. Put a new spin on these classic seasonal purples by pairing deep shades of red-violet with grassy green tones.

Color Combo: White + Blush + Brass

Blush is one of the most complex colors to work with, but when paired with the right accent colors, it can appear super chic. Here, blush is partnered with a crisp, white backdrop and accented with shiny touches of brass for a modern-meets-vintage look.

Color Combo: Gray + Silver + Pink

Add a more sophisticated touch to pink by pairing it with deep, neutral grays and adding a touch of bling with metallic silver.

Color Combo: Shamrock Green + Hot Pink

Shamrock green and hot pink may not be the first colors you think of when it comes to spring, but these two colors are often found together in nature. When you pair these hues together, be sure to add tons of white to help break up the saturation of the two bold hues.

Color Combo: Blue-Gray + Olive + Turquoise

Add a midcentury twist to your home this season with turquoise, olive and blue-gray. These classic colors were seen in many fabric and wallpaper patterns in the 1960s and can add a fun, retro feel to a room.
