For those who love movies and celebrities (and awkward acceptance speeches), it doesn’t get much better than Hollywood's golden night. Now in its 89th year, the annual award show is the the most significant event for honoring the best and brightest in the film industry.

The highlight every year is the Best Picture category, but this year's crop of nominees across the board might be the best in recent memory.
