Worldly Family Room

Traditional furniture and accessories are mixed with worldly embellishments to mesh the couple's opposing styles into one cohesive design. Dacoda paints the walls and ceiling a warmer color to give Jeannie her family comfort, while simple valances add a dramatic flair to the space. The rest of colors for the room are pulled from the painting over the fireplace, which was created by Abe's mother. A new shelving system and TV cabinet house Abe's souvenirs in an organized and pleasing manner.

? Keep in mind the surrounding flooring when choosing a carpet color.
? When painting a room darker, paint one wall a lighter color to keep an open feeling.
