You don't necessarily need green and red and Santas everywhere to decorate for Christmas. Nor do you have to only have one tree in the room. Be creative and start your own traditions. Decorate in unexpected places: use garland as curtain tiebacks, drape greenery above the window frames, hang baubles on lampshades. Try using non-traditional colors for pillows so you can use them throughout the year.
