Entertaining in a loft often means having private spaces in full view of guests.Arun Ponnusamy has a spacious downtown loft with amazing views. Unfortunately, an awkward sleeping area and exposed closet are hindering his ability to entertain. The Design on a Dime team handles these issues while increasing the warmth in this large, cold space and maintaining its polished industrial feel — all for under $1,000.
The Dilemma
Ponnusamy's beautiful arts district loft has a ton of character, but the awkward bedroom, bare windows and exposed closet need help. Creating a home without walls can be quite a challenge. How best to utilize a wide-open floor plan is a long-term project. While he has made some bold design decisions in the living and kitchen areas of the loft, the bedroom area poses a problem. Entertaining in a loft often means having private spaces in full view of guests.
