Turn tomato cages into feminine "lanterns" to provide a large-scale accessory for any room.Materials:
wire tomato cages
white spray paint
spray adhesive
pliers
tissue paper
ribbon
beaded ribbon
hot glue gun
Steps:
1. Paint the wire cages and let dry.2. With one person holding the largest ring of the cage like a steering wheel, twist the center ring to the left about 1/2 turn (figure A). Repeat the procedure by holding the center ring and twisting the smallest one. Use pliers to twist the ends together to form a cone shape.
4. Glue ribbon where necessary to hide the seams, and then wrap the tip with more ribbon. Attach long strands of ribbon at various points around the largest ring for hanging. Glue beads around the large opening as a final decorative touch (figure C).
