Before: Too Much Playing Inside

When brothers Kenneth, Austin and Jordan aren’t battling it out virtually with video games, they’re battling it out and wrestling in the family room. Mom and Dad have had enough, they want the boys outside and away from the TV. The parents would love to build a hang-out space for the boys underneath their second-story deck where they could play, relax and have their friends over. Before the makeover begins, designer and landscape architect Kathy Von Bredow asks the boys what they wish to see in their new backyard play area. Their wish list includes: a fort, TV, wrestling mat, sparring bag, and a climbing wall.
