Melissa McSorely, House Corporation Board president for the Tri-Delta sorority house, has an annual budget that she devotes to numerous projects or repairs for the house. This year she has decided to redesign the sorority president's outdated bedroom.
With the help of the current sorority president, Jen Beatty, McSorely searches for a design that could potentially be used for all the bedrooms within the Tri-Delta sorority house.
After reviewing each designer's plans to renovate the bedroom, Beatty and McSorely choose Design in Order's Angela Carfino-Hines and Evelyn Thompson. The duo create the perfect balance between style and functionality by incorporating space-saving ideas such as an armoire that opens up into a study desk, storage drawers beneath the bed and new shelving in the closet and against the bedroom wall.
New paint and carpeting, as well as repositioning the bed, gives the room a whole new feeling of spaciousness. The Tri-Delta house now has a bedroom fit for its current president and for many more presidents to come.
