  • An iron grate is used as instant wall art. Cut a board to size and attach to the back. Add molding to the front for a finished look.

  • Use a basketball hoop as a contemporary-style pot rack. Spray-pain t it silver and add S-hooks to hold pots.

  • Turn a headboard into a hanging wall shelf. Remove the lower half and add decorative molding to the edges. Paint and hang on a wall or over a bed.
