Trash to Treasure: Leftover Paint

Painting on canvas for wall art is a great way to use up old paint. Simply trace an interesting shape (an apple-shaped cutting board was used for this project) and fill in with paint.

Terra-Cotta Pots
Dress up terra-cotta pots for use outdoors or in. Stack them or use singly in the kitchen for storing utensils or in the bathroom for holding hand towels.

Candleholders
Remove the wiring from old lamps and repurpose them into candleholders. Paint the bases in coordinating colors to bring out the detail of the shapes.
