Trash to Treasure: Croquet Balls

Trash-to-treasure expert Robb Whittlef shares great ideas for decorative accents using croquet balls, including a tray base, candlesticks and a lamp base.

Dinner Tray
Cut two balls in half, level off the rounded edges and attach to a piece of butcher block.

Candlesticks
Drill a hole in one ball to hold the candle, cut off half of another for the base, then stack and attach them with wood glue.

Buffet Lamp
Drill a hole through the center of the balls; stack and attach them with wood glue. Insert a threaded rod, along with other necessary electrical parts, and finish with a base, a bulb and a lampshade.
