Trash To Treasure: Cottage Porch Charm

The base is an old kitchen cabinet done in a crackle finish. Fence posts serve as the upper back, old porch spindles support the upper shelf, and bullseye molding adds a little accent. The flowers that adorn the base cabinet were cut from tin ceiling pieces, the stems are spindles from an old chair, and the rosettes are garden-faucet handles. Antique door handles make great cabinet knobs. Finally, a garden faucet fastened to the back of the bench serves as a spigot for a small water fountain.
