BeforeMargaret Hussey needs help decorating her lackluster master bedroom. It has new furniture but the rest of the space is colorless and nondescript.
The Dilemma
Host Lee Snijders determines the design issues at hand, which include a lack of color, a wall of closets that dominate the space and an uninteresting window that needs a new treatment. A big plus is Hussey's artwork, which the team will use as inspiration for the new design. After Snijder's relates the decorating issues to design coordinators Summer Baltzer and Charles Burbridge, they decide to utilize a three-hued color scheme, enhance the window with a shadow box treatment, create a reading area in one corner and add three-dimensional interest with a custom art display.
