Timothy Brown and Danielle Richmond have a living room addition without any soul. Design student Sassy Spedoske wants to add life to this bare space and plans to paint the walls chocolate brown, accent the trim in a lighter color, install new flooring and lighting, add custom storage units plus a computer desk/chair and a decorative wall unit.
The homeowners believe in individuality and want a comfortable, inviting living room. Their bland multipurpose space isn't currently living up to those expectations as they're not happy with the lighting, flooring or a cluttered toy corner. This view shows how large this room is. Currently, this chair is blocking the flow from the other rooms so that needs to be addressed.
The homeowners are so overwhelmed with this large living room that they just can't reach any design conclusions. Making the TV look like it belongs is one of the main challenges in this room.
