Hide CaptionShow CaptionA small space with oversized furniture can look overcrowded; painting the walls the same color as the furniture makes it feel more spacious. All About
While Bromstad doesn't usually like to place furniture in front of a window because it blocks the view, the dimensions and functional aspects of this room require it in this case. He prefers to position couches opposite the fireplace, but the Whites don't want their flat-screen TV to be located above the fireplace. The compromise works pretty well, thanks to that alcove.
