The centerpiece of the designer room is the vintage, marble-topped cocktail table with a bronze mirror base. To replicate the table, Jamie builds a base using plywood and then covers it in mirrored-acrylic Plexiglas to achieve the modern metal look. For the tabletop, a remnant of polished marble was found at a stone fabricator for only $50.
Tip: Mirrored Plexiglas can be purchased at most any home store. Just bring in a template, and they'll cut it for you. Be sure to use adhesive made especially for mirrors, as some adhesives can eat away at the back of the mirror coating.
