Suede Living Room

The modern art hanging above the sofa in the inspiration room was painted by the room's designer. For the Double Take rendition designer Michael Siniscal helps the homeowner re-create his beautiful abstract painting. They start by making a stencil for the bamboo pattern. The stencils are adhered to the canvas and painted black. Then the entire canvas is covered in brown acrylic paint. Water is sprayed onto the canvas while the paint is being applied. This keeps it from drying too fast and allows for a nice even coat.
