Hide CaptionShow CaptionIn this couple's attempt to create a neutral living room, they created a space that's boring and bland.
Todd and Lisa are at a color standstill. She likes light, neutral colors, while he wants things dark and bold. They recently purchased their home, and there's not a spot of color anywhere. Differing opinions and fear of making mistakes have kept these two living in a white-walled limbo for months.

According to Todd, in their attempt to decorate in a style that is neutral and inoffensive, they ended up with a room that is offensively bland. The white walls are a stark contrast to the hardwood floors, somber wood trim and dark red brick fireplace. Besides the sitting area by the fireplace, there's a sunroom area with surround windows, but it's not very welcoming. Can host Jane Lockhart mediate a color compromise using colors inspired by the couple's mutual passion for fishing?
