Spanish Colonial Living Room

Teresa and Tony are blown away by the transformation of their living room. Kenneth has reinstated the home's Spanish Colonial style by evoking it on the stenciled ceiling beams and by peppering in simple ironwork on the chandeliers, the entryway railings, the table legs and the candle sconces flanking the fireplace. As for the fireplace, it fits perfectly with the style and adds to the history of the room. The hardwood floor brings warmth to the space while the classic but comfortable furniture gives it a cozy, lived-in feeling. The beautiful area rug helps define the casual seating area while providing a springboard for the rich color palette. The drapes provide the perfect frame for the view and Kenneth explains how their color and texture tie them into the stencil design on the ceiling beams. Appropriately, a large framed family portrait hangs over the fireplace and the room has a wonderful feeling of warmth and harmony. For Tony and Teresa it's the perfect place to bring family and friends together.
