Before: Empty Attic

Tatiana and her husband are hip globetrotters who have lived in major cities all around the world. They and their little girl are now home again and have moved into a new townhouse in the suburbs.

They were excited about settling into their new place, but the experience was eclipsed by an unfortunate move-in day surprise: Tatiana had asked her brother to paint the house for them, and the color-happy chap did just that — in several bold shades of purple.

While Tatiana loves color, the house's candy store vibe left her afraid to ask for additional design assistance from the family. Instead, she called in the Divine Design team to help her create a luxurious, new (and purple-free) bedroom in the house's attic space. So I gathered up my crew and got set to give Tatiana and her hubby a bedroom refuge that would match their cosmopolitan lifestyle — and give them the "take me away from all the purple" feeling they were seeking.
