The beams taken off the ceiling are repurposed into a new fireplace mantel to strengthens the fireplace's profile. The existing bookcases were a bit too large, so they are cut down and reused. Sustainable wood is then used to frame the bookcases to the fireplace, giving the whole room a more unified look. The fireplace and shelves are painted the same color to heighten the room and keep the look clean and consistent.
