Sleek, Contemporary Family Room

Monikka and David Blakes want to update their downstairs room and convert it into an entertainment area for both family and friends. They also want to maximize the stunning view out the window. Monikka and David Blakes have very different ideas of what this undefined room should become. David wants a sports bar, while Monikka wants a family room. They both want the outdated decoupage bar to get a new look. The great hardwood floors and versatile furniture pieces provide a good starting point, but beyond that, this room is pretty much a blank slate.Designer Angelo Surmelis and the rest of the 24 Hour Design team set out to create a contemporary space with lots of color and texture.
