Lori Duvall and Ric Simpson dreamed of a ski lodge-themed den, so they brought the show inside their home by decorating with cotton batting and using old ski boots as vases. Unfortunately, the zebra throws, orange walls and ski boot vases make the room look motr like an avalanche than a ski lodge oasis.
With a budget of $2,000, interior designer Kelli Ellis, contractor Steve Pitzer and design coordinator Jennifer Julian will turn this blinded snowstorm into a winter wonderland. The room is transformed with the three key elements of ski lodge design—rock and timber wall treatments, log and leather furniture and antique skiing accessories.
