Embellish a dome-shaped light fixture with buttons (cut the shanks off the larger buttons), shells, beads or costume jewelry to create a one-of-a-kind overhead shade. Simply attach objects with a hot-glue gun using a high-temperature glue. Start with the larger pieces first and fill in with the smaller objects. To create the "fringe," simply drill small holes around the perimeter, thread objects onto wire earrings (available at craft stores) and attach.
