Seaside Retreat

Jon Burk grew up near the New Jersey shore and has wonderful memories of the place. With that in mind, he wants to transform his boring spare room into a seaside retreat where he can also entertain friends.

Jon loves the fact that his spare room is open and gets lots of light, but he needs help with color and design. He knows that he wants the room to have that airy beach feel, but doesn't quite know how to achieve this look. That's where designer Angelo Surmelis and his team come into play. They are charged with playing up this great space and creating a smooth flow to the connecting patio.
