The Solution
Interior designer Lee Snijders joins forces with design coordinators Charles Burbridge and Summer Baltzer to update the family room in a rustic Americana decor, using their photo art pieces as the jumping-off point. The large blank wall is filled with new colorful photo art, while the sofa pillows get blue jean covers. The TV and stereo are moved out of the corner, and a shelving unit and cabinet are built in to balance the children's desk and shelves on the other side. The built-in also provides more storage for their extensive CD collection and the kids' toys.
