Hide CaptionShow CaptionA black granite splash and appropriate lighting transform the range hood into a dramatic focal point for the kitchen.
The goal for this kitchen was to have a room in which two cooks could work comfortably and still be connected to guests in the adjacent dining and living rooms.
  • Since there are no walls separating the main activity areas on the first floor, the same light wood flooring, punctuated by a strip of polished black tiles at perimeters of each space, was used throughout the first floor.
  • Polished black granite counters, light maple cabinetry and stainless steel accents combine for an elegant, minimalist look in the kitchen.
