Ken McDonald and Linda Jamerson moved into their home a year ago and have figured out most of the rooms except the living room. They've asked for help from student designer Jill Lazzari who plans to create a cohesive floor plan. She wants to paint the wood paneling, update an oddly placed fireplace, create an entertainment center and frost windows to separate the space from the rest of the house.
This home used to be an office. Its many doorways make furniture arrangement tricky and the owners really dislike the paneling. The fireplace is right by the front door, making it an awkward focal point in the room
