Design coordinator Ali Azhar stains different lengths of oak flooring planks with four colors of stain. He attaches the planks in a random pattern onto a piece of particleboard, nailing the planks in from the back for a clean, all-wood surface. A few coats of polyurethane protect the buffet for any use.
