Hide CaptionShow CaptionAnna and Max Kovalenko have lost their design direction in their multi-purpose dining room. Two adults plus two young children equals overload in this two-bedroom apartment. All About
The Dilemma
The Kovalenko family uses this space extensively, and the toys and clutter have taken over. Interesting architectural features, like a gallery wall, grace this Chicago condo. However, the lack of color and mismatched furniture and function in the room fail to highlight those elements. The dining room table and chairs are in good condition, but they could use some updating. The homeowners want to combine style and whimsy to create a space featuring old and new items. They want a space that reflects their personalities and feels like home.
