Since she loves retro styles from the '40s and '50s, Snijders decides to focus on a vintage look that reflects those eras. The color red is the impetus for creating a bold, daring design.

New furniture makes the space more functional and enhances the vintage design. A new loft bed makes room underneath for a small art space outfitted with a new drafting table and vintage stool. A 1950s-era dresser helps Kati to clear her closet clutter. A corner bookshelf and new chair are the finishing touches.
