Hide CaptionShow CaptionBeige walls and subtle color blends create a calm and relaxing environment in this bedroom without appearing boring.
Beige walls don’t have to be boring. When used well, and when there are very few contrasting colors in the room, it can be a very peaceful tone. This is true for most colors; if everything is a shade of the same color, you’ll achieve a very restful feeling. Bromstad is trying to tone down the space, so he uses slight contrast in color. Also, he contrasts textures for a subtle effect. Layering the bed with blankets and pillows makes for a very luxurious look.
