Materials and Tools:
tracing paper
marker
awl
hammer
scrap wood
tin
tin snips
grease pencil
epoxy
lamp base/shade
metal flowerpot
scissors
painter's tape
chisel
Steps:
1. Cut out a template of the pot below the lid on a piece of tracing paper. Draw desired design on the template with a marker.
2. Tape the design over the tin, and then around it using a grease pencil. Tap the awl about every 1/4" with a hammer along the design lines over a piece of scrap wood. Use a sharp chisel for a slotted look in some spots if desired.
