Lively colors in different patterns work together for a fun and uplifting design scheme. Pink and green is the ultimate preppy color story. Painted furniture in here is much more important than anything dark, which probably wouldn't go with these lighter colors.
Christina Manca shows how to put these ideas to work when she revamps Rachel Moore's bedroom, taking it from bland to preppy bright. There's nothing wrong with this bedroom, but there's nothing particularly right either. With little color or pattern it lacks pizzazz and the homeowner wants to give her private space some preppy polish.
New bedding, a different furniture arrangement, artwork, accessories and a wall of pink transform this bland bedroom into something truly beautiful. By placing pattern on pattern, it's now a space with personality.
