It's easy to add a shimmering metallic glaze technique to an accent wall or entire room.
Materials:

foam rollers
5-in-1 tool
satin latex paint (base coat: Utterly Beige SW6080) – Sherwin-Williams
silver metallic paint (Candlelight Silver) - Ralph Lauren
glaze
paint tray

Steps:

1. Paint the room in the base coat color and let dry. Use a five-in-one tool to gauge random areas of the foam roller(s) and remove the excess foam from those spots.
2. Thoroughly mix equal parts of silver metallic paint and clear glaze in a tray. Fill the roller with the mixture and apply it horizontally to the wall first. Then, apply it vertically in small areas. The more random the vertical roller marks, the more creased and wrinkled the wall finish. The play of light on this finish that makes the room look like a sparkling gem.
