The existing pillar is camouflaged with a wooden surround and is balanced with an additional pillar in the center of the room.

A $10 garage-sale sleeper sofa is updated with a slipcover sewn out of a king-size sheet and denim duvet. An off-white sisal rug was sprayed with blue dye to match it to the other elements in the room.
