Mural Dining Room

Host Brooke Channon and the design team work together to re-create the look of a unique dining room inspired by the Tuscan countryside and designed by the Sonoma Design Group. The room is anchored by an Italian countryside mural and is accented by art deco furnishings which create this designer look.
Transforming the Makeover Room:
The design team transformed this plain dining room into a little slice of the Mediterranean with the following steps:
- The transformation began by enlisting a muralist to replicate the Italian countryside mural found in the inspiration room.
The design team chose a Victorian style rug as an ideal replacement for the hand tufted rug found in the inspiration room.
The design team purchased an art deco style side board and faux finished it with gold paint. The side board was dressed with antique style lamps, blown glass candlesticks and clear glass bud vases. The design team refinished the homeowners’ mirror and hung it over the sideboard to add dimension to the room. The wine rack was given a stamp treatment to re-create the look of designer wine rack found in the inspiration room.
The design team re-created the inspiration table using a refinished stone base and a glass table top. The table was dressed with a faux green marble vase and art deco inspired place settings. Satin, diamond patterned Parson’s chairs were added to the table to complete this look.
