When homeowners John and Suzanne Dracopoulos' living room was flooded, all of their furniture and floors were destroyed. The Color Splash team embarks on their most ambitious makeover yet when they take on this living room. Host/designer David Bromstad takes cues from the couple's southwestern and woodsy style around the house. Warm oranges, rust and reds form the background for this mountain lodge-style living room complete with wooden columns and stone facades.
The living room is floor-to-ceiling wood, with rich grains and tones. The brick fireplace stands out, but not in a good way — it's stark and cold against the warm woods. All the furniture was ruined in the flood when the upstairs pipes broke, so the room is a do-over.
