Moroccan-Style Bedroom Makeover

Special Presentation : Episode HMRB1-S04 -- More Projects »
Mark and Madeline Zeff met at a club in New York through mutual friends and they enjoyed each other's company so much that night they talked until 6 a.m. But, because they were both in other relationships at the time nothing ever materialized between them--that is, until seven years later when a chance meeting reunited them. They married in Morocco in 2000 and today they reside in a bedroom inspired by that very special event.

Mark designed a four-poster bed to make the lofty room feel more intimate and cozy. The bed pillows were originally 14th-century tapestries. Behind the bed is a Moroccan tapestry that represents all the things one should have in a good marriage. Scattered throughout the room are keepsakes with sentimental value. The authentic hand-carved Moroccan door leading into the suite is 12 feet tall, making for a grand entrance into the enchanting space.
