Hide CaptionShow CaptionWith an unlevel foundation, holes in the walls and ceiling, and an abundance of stored items, this room needs some serious work.
Harry and Roberta Ault have used their unfinished basement as storage for imported Moroccan furnishings Roberta used for a former rental service business. Host Karen McAloon jumps at the chance to use the abundant furnishings to create a desert lounge where the Aults can relax and hang out with friends. Warm colors and innovative faux paint treatments give life to the plain walls and cement floor.
