The catering kitchen is complete from top to bottom. Industrial-style ceiling tiles cover the exposed beams and eight large pendant fixtures illuminate the work space. These fixtures are perfect for this type of kitchen because they are easy to clean. The walls are finished and painted in a semi-gloss pumpkin-colored paint. Semi-gloss paint is best for kitchens and bathrooms because it holds up better to moisture and can easily be wiped down. The cement floor is resurfaced in a textured, non-slip paint. The texture, or grit, in the paint comes from little pieces of treated rubber that have been recycled from car tires. This paint works great in commercial kitchens, as well as garages and walkways. Finally, some new stainless-steel shelves are added to better organize the cookware, utensils and spices.
