Patrick is an architect, and Kai works in public relations. They lead a fast-paced, urban lifestyle, which includes entertaining friends and clients on their large rooftop deck. This couple shares an appreciation for ultra-modern, minimalist design and would love to bring this sensibility to their very traditional deck. But Kai wants a neutral, modern style, and Patrick wants a colorful, fun vibe. Can they agree on new colors for their deck?

The long, spacious deck has distinct areas for lounging, barbequing and playing with the kids. But the wood is worn and weathered, with new replaced boards that stick out like sore thumbs. They do want to separate the deck flooring from the walls.
