First-time homeowners Anita and Tanuj Sinha love their new home, but the living room is oddly shaped. Since the couple spends most of their time in this room, they would like for it to look striking. They have some great contemporary furniture, so all they need is a design plan that ties the pieces together. The Design on a Dime team sets out to turn this awkwardly shaped space into a zesty ethnic living room.

The Dilemma
One lamp provides lighting for the entire room. While the couple likes their traditional Indian-style furniture, they want to combine that with a bit of contemporary flair. They also want to bring out the warm tones in their rug.
