Hide CaptionShow CaptionThe dull bedroom is now a contemporary woodland retreat. After: Industrial Woods
With the help of host Joan Steffend, carpenter Jeff Meyer and less than $500, designer Richard Anderson transformed a dull guest room into modern woodland retreat. The fun and funky headboard is made from industrial roofing/siding, and a little paint was used to brighten up piece before it was fastened to the wall. The simple, yet stylish bedding is adorned with brown grosgrain ribbon to hide the seams. More silhouettes are added to the room with a set of wildlife throw pillows. The kissing bucks design was made by printing the silhouette onto an iron-on transfer paper at a copy store. The transfers are ironed onto the fabric and then the fabric is sewn into a pillow.
The forest feel continues with the clear, branch-like silhouettes found on the sheer white curtains.
