Mirror – $10
A frame is made from inexpensive lumber and painted black. Peel-and-stick vinyl flooring is used to create a pattern on the frame. First, the vinyl flooring is roughed up slightly with some sandpaper so the paint will stick better. The flooring pieces are then spray painted a variety of colors. When dry, a grid is drawn on the flooring material then cut into small squares with a utility knife. The small squares are then adhered to the frame in a geometric pattern.

Hooks and Frames – $12
Two small picture frames are made using the same technique as the mirror. Two dark gray squares are painted on the wall, then two hooks are hung in the middle of each square. The frames are then mounted over the hooks.
